About WyreStorm NetworkHD
WyreStorm NetworkHD is an AV-over-IP family that spans JPEG 2000 (NHD-500/600) and H.264/H.265 (NHD-120) codecs for 1 GbE distribution.
NetworkHD lets installers choose the codec to match the job: JPEG 2000 for low-latency 4:4:4 quality, or H.26x for very low bitrate streaming across constrained links. Both run on standard 1 GbE networks.
For the JPEG 2000 models, the bitrate is the raw signal divided by ≈8:1 — a 1080p30 4:4:4 source is about 1.49 Gbps raw and roughly 187 Mbps compressed. The H.26x models compress far more aggressively, closer to single-digit Mbps.
Worked example
A 1080p30 4:2:0 signal is 746.5 Mbps raw; the JPEG 2000 NetworkHD codec compresses it about 8:1, so the stream is about 93.3 Mbps. H.26x models go much lower.

What do 4:4:4, 4:2:2 and 4:2:0 mean?
They describe chroma subsampling — how much colour detail is kept relative to brightness. 4:4:4 keeps full colour (3× bit depth per pixel), 4:2:2 keeps two-thirds, and 4:2:0 keeps half (1.5×).
